My name is Damien and I own a metro franchise in Victoria.

Before becoming a Hire A Hubby I was a Pastry Chef for 16 years.  I worked early mornings and during the afternoon would work around my home and friends houses.  I found myself doing the jobs that they couldn't do.  As the jobs increased I found I needed to read more books on building, carpentry, tiling etc and buying more tools for the jobs I was doing.

I finally got tired of the early morning starts and went about looking for a business where I didn't have to worry about staff and overheads.  I looked at many franchises before deciding on Hire A Hubby.  I like Hire A Hubby because of the variety of jobs you can do, you don't have to pay a percentage of your income or for leads like other franchises.

My leads started immediately upon finishing training and after doing a lot of quoting the first couple of weeks the work began to flow thick and fast.  After three months I was booked six weeks ahead.  The thing I like best is the freedom of being my own boss and the rewards - the harder I work the more I earn.
